Yu-Gi-Oh is one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time, with legions of players battling for hours in stadium tournaments. Unsurprisingly some fans get too engrossed in their lengthy and frantic gameplay to bother with personal hygiene. Which is why the official Yu-Gi-Oh tournament rules have just been updated to include some timely advice, as follows: "You are expected to be clean when you enter the tournament. Neglecting to wash contributes to an unpleasant atmosphere at the event, as the tournament can be crowded and the day can be long. Persons who neglect self-care to the point that they are negatively impacting the tournament will be asked to correct the issue." Just to make sure there is no misunderstanding, the rules also state, "If you or your clothing is bad-smelling, you can be penalized." Here are Chillblast we're all in favour of keeping gaming clean, and are pleased to inform players that Yu-Gi-Oh has released its own branded soap, shower gel and deodorant, originally costing ten dollars. Which is not to be sniffed at.
