Dragon's Dogma 2 PC Specs & Requirements
January 23, 2024
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the upcoming sequel to the popular previous title Dragon’s Dogma, and is set to be released on 22nd March 2024.
Developed and published by Capcom, the game is a single-player, narrative-driven action-RPG that challenges the players to choose their own experience. On their journey, players will be joined by Pawns, “mysterious otherworldly beings, in an adventure so unique you will feel as if accompanied by other players while on your own adventure.”
Capcom says all of these elements are elevated further through physics technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and the latest in graphics, to create a truly immersive fantasy world.
As with any modern game release, knowing the system requirements necessary to run the game at optimal settings is vital for having an enjoyable gameplay experience. In this article, we’ll explore the PC specs required to run Dragon’s Dogma 2, as well as provide recommendations for those looking to upgrade their current setup.
So, read on to discover what hardware you will need to immerse yourself in this thrilling fantasy world.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Minimum Requirements
To get Dragon’s Dogma 2 up and running at 1080p resolution, with most settings on low but hitting a decent 30 FPS, Capcom says you don't need a particularly powerful PC.
These specs are very typical of a lot of modern releases. Both the CPU and GPU options are a good few generations old now so most gaming PCs made within the last 5 or so years should be able to handle getting the game up and running.
One area your system may be lacking, however, is the storage space required to install the game. Even though Capcom hasn’t revealed the official file size, using similar modern titles we can estimate that it’ll likely fall in the 100GB range. With a game this substantial in size, consider upgrading your system with an SSD for faster load times, even if it's a smaller one.
If your PC just meets these specifications, however, you will need to be content with the lowest settings. You’ll only be able to play at around 1080p at 30 FPS with pretty much all the settings on low, which is fine if you’re playing on a small monitor, but if you’re trying to play on a larger monitor or even a TV, it’s not going to look great.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Recommended Requirements
According to Capcom, systems that fall within these recommended specifications will provide a solid gameplay experience at at least 1440p, maintaining framerates at a smooth 60FPS.
These recommended specs aren’t too much of a jump from the minimum requirements either, with some of the suggested components being roughly 5 years old. Although the upgrade in GPU does bring new features such as DLSS technology and the option for ray tracing via the Nvidia RTX graphics card.
However, they are a couple of generations old now and can be hard to get your hands on, so will likely not be the best option for value for money and you should instead look to newer parts.

What do you need to play Dragon’s Dogma 2 at higher resolutions?
Capcom hasn’t released official high-resolution specs, but to enjoy a game like Dragon’s Dogma 2 at 4K, all while having graphical settings on high, these are the specs we think your system will need to hit at the very minimum.
