Indiana Jones and the Great Circle system requirements

Discover the minimum and recommended system specs for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle; A globetrotting, whip cracking, hat wearing adventure game,

Outside of mobile phone and Facebook games, and the Lego renditions, it’s been 13-years since the last mainline Indiana Jones game was released; Even longer if we’re only talking PC games. So it’s no surprise to see a massive uplift in graphical fidelity with the new Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Long-gone are the pixelated graphics of the 90s direct movie tie-ins, and instead we have a slightly uncanny-valley Harrison Ford kicking butt and appropriating cultural artefacts with all the swagger of his younger real-world self.

But as with most modern AAA releases, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle comes with relatively steep system requirements. If you want to play this game at its highest detail settings, you’re going to need a particularly powerful gaming PC to do it.

Never fear though, Chillblast is here to walk you through what you’ll need to play the game at your favorite settings, with the odd suggestion of a custom gaming PC upgrade for anyone who wants to play a higher resolution and detail settings.

Minimum system requirements

  • Processor: Intel Core i7 at 3.3GHz or better, AMD Ryzen 5 at 3.1Ghz or better
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB, AMD Radeon RX 6600 8 GB
  • Storage: SSD required
  • OS: Windows 10 or newer

MachineGames didn’t give us much to work with with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, with only these minimum system requirements – and even they are light on detail. However, we can draw some base conclusions about what a PC like this will give you, and what you might need to do to go beyond it.

The suggested processor(s) are not generationally specific, which makes it hard to nail down how good a processor you really need. However, if we take them at face value, the oldest processors that meet these specifications, are the Intel Core i7-2600K from 2011 and the AMD Ryzen 5 1400 from 2017. Considering these processors are roughly comparable in performance, that’s arguably not a terrible baseline to work with.

Considering the age of these CPUs, it would also suggest that as long as you have at least four cores and eight thread support, it doesn’t matter too much what CPU you have. Anything from the past decade should just about do.

Memory wise, 16GB is par for the course with most modern games as a minimum. It’s also by far what the majority of Steam PC gamers have, so this is another threshold that’s easily breached by an even relatively modern gaming system. It’s also one of the cheapest and easiest upgrades you can do to your PC, so if you meet everything else but don’t have the memory, that’s a straightforward fix.

Graphics card wise, the RTX 2060 and RX 6600 are far newer and though budget for their respective generations, are still great gaming graphics cards for playing esports and casual games, as well as AAA games like this at low settings.

No news yet on what kind of storage space you’ll need, but considering the high-resolution textures and models in this one, expect it to be high. Circa-100GB most likely. An SSD is also said to be required, so make sure you install this on your main game library drive or grab a cheap secondary SSD if you need additional space.

If your PC can roughly meet these minimum system requirements, you’ll be able to play the game without difficulty, but don’t expect to enjoy it at its full visual splendour. Although MachineGames wasn’t explicit, typically minimum game requirements let you play at 720p or 1080p at low settings, with an average FPS between 30 and 60. That might be with the presumption of some kind of dynamic upscaling enabled, too.

Perfectly playable, but not ideal. Let’s see what we can do about that.

Playing any game on a Chillblast custom gaming PC is always an excellent experience. Because that’s what we do: We make great gaming PCs that help you play the games you love as they were meant to be played. But that doesn’t mean spending thousands of pounds is a must. We make amazing bang for buck gaming PCs too.

This Evolution AMD Ryzen 5 gaming PC is the perfect fit for playing Indiana Jones at more modest settings, but with high-frame rates and at 1080p, or even 1440p at a push. It comes fitted with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, with six cores and 12 threads. It not only meets the minimum system requirements, it blows right past them, making sure that your game will run smoothly, and you won’t underperform in other games with more stringent CPU demands.

Alongside that you get the 16GB of memory this game needs, but in blazing fast DDR4 form. As with all our gaming PCs, this one is fitted with one of the latest generation SSDs, too, so you have all the high-speed storage you need.

As for graphics, you’ve got the latest-generation, Nvidia RTX 4060. This is not just way more powerful than the RTX 2060 or RX 6600 recommended in the minimum system requirements, it has the features you need to really make this game run smoothly. Along with a more powerful GPU under the hood, it also has RT and Tensor cores. These are super important in modern gaming, because they unlock hardware accelerated ray tracing support, of which Indiana Jones takes full advantage to really look beautiful, but it also supports Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS). That helps accelerate your frame rate to new heights by upscaling the visuals, so that your GPU doesn’t have to work as hard.

The end result is a game that looks amazing and performs well too, helping you enjoy the smooth animations and action of this new Indiana Jones experience.

Playing at higher detail settings on a custom gaming PC

Want to go beyond the medium settings and 1080p resolution of the minimum system requirements? Then Chillblast has the custom PC for you.

The Chillblast Core i5 RTX 4070 Super Gaming PC is one of our most competitive gaming PC designs, featuring incredibly fast hardware in a compact, attractive case at a price as affordable as we can make it. It unlocks an entirely new tier of performance and detail in all your favorite games, including Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

At its heart, this PC sports the stellar Intel Core i5 14600KF – arguably the best CPU of its generation. With its 14 cores (six performance, eight efficiency), and high-clock speed, this processor is absolutely fantastic for gaming, and in many cases is competitive with much more expensive CPUs, like the 14900K, and even the newer 285K. With all those extra cores, it’s also great at managing background tasks so that they don’t interfere with your gaming performance, and if you want to do some video editing of your highlights later on, it’s a real powerhouse for productive workloads, too.

Along with that CPU, you get 32GB of super-fast DDR5 memory with this gaming PC, and 2TB of responsive SSD storage space. That’s enough for even the largest of game libraries. No matter how big Indiana Jones and the Great Circle comes in at, you’ll be able to install it on this gaming PC many times over.

The real driving force of this PC’s gaming power, though, is its graphics card. The Nvidia RTX 4070 Super is a couple of notches higher on the spectrum than our entry-level gaming PC, making it more than capable of playing any game at 1440p with high frame rates. It also have full support for DLSS 3 and frame generation, and with its higher RT core count, you can enjoy raytraced lighting without it impacting your performance to the same extent.

As with all Chillblast gaming PCs, this model is built into an attractive case, with an excellent AIO watercooler on the CPU, and RGB-lit cooling fans in the front and top helping to keep your system running cool and quiet – and looking good while doing it.

Playing Indiana Jones at the highest settings

A dramatic fight scene set in a cold, industrial arctic environment, with one man in a white snow suit pinning another man to the ground inside a control room filled with equipment and frosty surroundings

OK, we hear you. You want the ultimate Indiana Jones and the Great Circle gaming experience. Since MachineGames hasn't provided specific details on what’s required to max out all settings, we don’t know exactly what hardware you’ll need to run the game at full settings while maintaining high frame rates, even at 4K resolution. But we do know how to build some of the most powerful gaming PCs in the world.

If any gaming PCs can play Indiana Jones with no compromises, our PC can.

The Carbon Ryzen 7 RTX Origin gaming PC is a superpowered gaming PC that few can even come close to rivalling, let alone exceeding. It pairs the best gaming CPU in the world, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D (or 9800X3D if you want a little more – ask us about upgrades), with the almost-best graphics card in the world – the RTX 4080 Super. It has heaps of CUDA cores for peak performance in any game you throw at it, at any setting, at 4K resolution, and with high FPS, no matter what’s happening on screen.

It also has DLSS support, so you can boost your frame rates with added upscaling. That’s a great way to even out any performance dips from enabling ray tracing on a card like this, too.

Technically we do have a couple of PCs that are a little faster, but you don’t want to see those, right? OK, but we warned you. Here be monsters.

The Apex AMD Ryzen 7 X3D gaming PC combines that same incredible gaming processor in the system above, with the absolute fastest graphics card ever made: Nvidia’s RTX 4090. There isn’t a graphics card in the world that can even come close to its gaming performance, unlocking higher frame rates at 4K than ever before.

If you want something more powerful than that, you’ll need to give us a minute to think. Fortunately, our expert system builders love a challenge, so if there’s anything in this PC or any of the others on this list that you wish was different or better in some way, we’d love to hear about it. Just get in touch and let us know the kind of gaming experience you’re looking for, and we’ll make your dream a reality.
