PC Build Technician

 

Job Description

 

Chillblast are the UK's most celebrated and awarded PC builders and have been trading for over 20 years. Our PCs are sold online via own our website, as well as via a host of top names in online retail, including Argos, Very, Box.co.uk and many more. On top of this our PC's are also sold via online marketplaces, as well as in high-street stores like Selfridges. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and expanding company.

We are looking for a PC Build Technician to support our wider set of businesses within the Tactus group, including Box.co.uk, Chillblast.com and CCLonline.com. You will be working closely within the Systems team to build amazing PCs for our customers across these websites as well as building set-ups that support our partners, including Fnatic, Williams, the RAF and many more.

As part of the Tactus Group, we have multiple build locations throughout the UK. This role will be accepting applications from candidates keen to work from our build center in Bradford.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Build, Test and Pack PCs for our customers
  • Test and diagnose a range of PC returns.
  • Repair and upgrade computers, laptops and components.
  • Deal with technical queries from customers.
  • Liaise with internal teams on technical issues and test results.
  • Assemble & Upgrade products to customer standards.
  • Report to supervisor work carried out on a daily basis

Skills and Experience

  • Background knowledge of IT and consumer electronics testing procedures
  • Passion for Tech
  • Excellent communication skills to deal with a variety of individuals and issues
  • PC Literate
  • Hard working with a can-do attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Problem solving skills – adapting to the ever-changing environment and reacting quickly to meet challenges
  • Team player who can work in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive

Schedule: 5 Days out of 7 (37.5 Hours Weekly)

Education: A-Level or equivalent (Desirable)

Experience: PC, Consumer electronics or electrical Engineering: 1 year (Minimum)

Location: Bradford
